Making an Image Editable (continued) After importing the image, you'll have to turn it into a symbol so it can be manipulated. Click the image, select Insert> Convert to Symbol or simply press F8. Type any name, leave it as a "Graphic" and press Enter. Now that it is a symbol, you can edit its properties. Double-click it to open its properties (or chose Modify> Instance on the menu, or press Ctrl+I), open the tab "Color Effect", and on the combo box, select "Special" as the color effect. The Special editing fields will open (in Flash 5, it can be found on the "Effects" Panel - menu Window> Panels> Effects).
