For all of us developing in Flash, multiple timelines are a reality and can be difficult to understand how we effect an object in another timeline - like a movie clip, or a nested movie clip, or a movie clip inside a loaded SWF.

Well, the command you use for that is Tell Target.

Here are some tips for using Tell Target that you may find useful:

  • You can always target a "Level"
  • You can always target an "Instance Name"
