Here's what you need:
- A splash screen with a link saying 'enter site'
- A small small flash movie, 400 x 400, with 3 buttons: 'fullscreen', 'normal' and 'pop up' (or whatever), call this 'screenchooser'
- An exit screen (thanks for visiting .....) call this 'exit' - (i usually just have this as a plain html page with a graphic instead of a movie - in this case it will be called 'exit.html')
- The main site ('main')
- A HTML editor (I use Visual InterDev, but any html editor will do, even notepad)
Here's what you do:
If you made the splash screen out of bare html and graphics - code the 'enter site' link like this:<A HREF="javascript:newWindow()">
If you made it in flash then select the button that says 'enter site', right click and select actions, double click the 'getURL' action from the actions menu and in the space type: javascript:newWindow(). Save and publish/
Then,
Load your splash screen into the HTML editor, inbetween the
<script language="javascript">
function newWindow(){
newWin=window.open('screenchooser.html', 'screenchooser', 'height=400, width=400, scrollbars=no, menubar=no, toolbar=no, status=no');
}
</script>
