Step 5:

When you have everything set up as described, select your text layer and right click on it, from the pop up menu select "Mask", as shown above. This will make your text layer a mask and scroll area will become masked, two layers will be locked. Now play your movie by going to the first keyframe and hitting enter on your keyboard. You should achieve the nice effect of fading text like I have in the Flash movie on the first page.

You're done! This is a neat effect, easy to make and is great for any type of scrolling text. Hope that this tutorial was helpful.
