Masking EffectLets Start!! Firstly you should have an idea of what u are about to make so here is what we are targeting for :Now that u have an understanding for what we are going to do here is it : Definately you need to open an new file, hope you know that! ;) First insert one symbol give it the name 'Black Text', And in this symbol write a text 'FLASH' and by using the center tool, center the text you will find the center tool at the top,where you have the cut,copy,paste options.  Now go back to the main stage "Scene1" open the library or press CTRL+L Select the symbol 'Black Text' right click on it.. you will see a menu, from their select 'Duplicate',a new window will appear rename it to "Yellow Text" Double click in the library's preview window and you will be in the edit mode for symbol you just named 'Yellow Text' right? Edit this text and change the color to yellow Save all you work..so you don't lose it ok? This is how your library should look like:  Heres what u have to do next: Insert> New Symbol or press CTRL + 8 Name it 'RectangleBar' And select Graphic> click ok Now in this symbol draw a small bar,use the rectangle tool Small bar as the one below , make sure to delete the strokes (borders of this) This is what should be seen :  Now come back to the main stage and follow these: 1)Insert Three Layers 2)Double click the top layer(on the layer's icon) Select MASK from the window that appears Rename the layer to 'Rectangle Bar' 3)Double click the second layer(on the layer's icon) Select MASKED from the window that appears Rename the layer to 'Yellow Text' 4)Open the library CTRL + L if not already open and drag the RectangleBar Symbol from the library and place it in the layer with the name RectangleBar 5)Lock the 'Rectangle Bar ' layer 6)Now in the layer name 'Yellow Text' drag the symbol 'Yellow Text' from the library and place it in this layer, and align the symbol to the center of the stage using the alignment tool, and lock this layer . 7)Now in the third layer Rename to 'Black Text', drag the symbol 'Black Text' form the library and place it in this layer . andlock this layer it should look like this :  Add a few frames as seen in the image above. Unlock the layer with the name 'Rectangle Bar' and rotate the bar as shown and place it that way too..  Now in the last key frame of this layer insert a keyframe and drag the bar to this position, see the image below: 
 In the top layer(Rectangle Bar) Create motion tween by right clicking any frame in this layer. Once done lock this layer….. And don't foget to save your work! This what should the time line be when its is done :  Test your movie , what do you get?
