Introduction

In this tutorial you will learn how to make text do more than just move. I have outlined for you a very basic special effect which is extremely simple in terms of both its graphical nature and its ease of creation. But it looks really cool:

This is a glint. I don't know a better name for the effect, so it's a glint. Anyway, you can create this effect and numerous other variations in just a few easy steps that are outlined in the remainder of this tutorial.
