Apply bitmap filters to text along the curve with Text2Curve component

Introduction

Placing the text along circle or ellipse is one of most common design tasks. While extremely hard to achieve with "raw code", this effect becomes easy with Text2Curve flash component.
Unlike similar tools in programs as Illustrator, CorelDRAW or Freehand, it allows doing this dynamically, e.g. as a movie is playing.
Then you can change the text at runtime with Actionscript.
In this tutorial, you will learn how to make text along the curve even more impressive by applying flash 8 bitmap filters such as drop shadow, bevel, glow and others to it. See examples at the picture.

Requirements

To benefit from this tutorial you will need:

• Flash 8 (and publish the movie as flash 8)
