Now we'll create a new gradient, that goes from white with 100% opacity (alpha),
to
transparent
(0% alpha).
In the Color Mixer panel choose Linear from the drop down
menu.
Click the color box on the left to activate it. Type #ffffff in
the hex-color box on the left. (As mentioned before.)
Click the box on the right, and if it's not white, repeat the process here.
In the Alpha box (just above the color box) you type 0,
zero, and hit Enter.
(Flash adds % for you.)

Most probably you'll see
nothing in the next steps, if you, like me, have chosen a white background
in your movie. I change
mine to dark gray for this part, and change it back afterwards.
(Modify > Document..., and choose either black or a dark
grey.)
I also hide the pill shape layer by clicking on the eye beside it.
Choose the Fill tool
. Click on your shape once.
I modified the gradient with the Fill Transform Tool, to make it look like
the illustration below.
(I reduced the size of it.)

| theCaramella started out as an artist, pencils and brushes. Then she bought her first computer, and then there were only computing. Now she's a full time student at the University of Oslo, Informatics of course, while giving some classes at rare occasions. (Who in this business' got money today?) :) |
