Ripple Effect
Author: James Cusick
Setting up the Layers
The ripple effect is achieved through the magic of masking
Firstly you will need to gather a picture for your effect to take place on.
Place your picture on a layer. You won't need to touch this layer again
Now create a movie called "ripple".
Now you need to create 4 more layers above the picture layer. These are for the ripple movie to sit on.
On the first of these four layers place the ripple movie on the first frame,
then on the layer above, place the same ripple movie on it but put it on frame 6,
and on the next layer place the same movie again on about the 12th frame,
and thus onwards for the last layer.
Then we move onwards to the actual ripple movie.....
