First, Make a black background. Next, create 4 layers. it isn't manditory that you name the layers. Find in the colors panel, change the paint bucket color to red that fades into the black. Then, in layer 1, use the paintbrush tool to make a good sized dot. convert it to a movieclip. in the movieclip, make two frames- one as the dot we just made, and 2 as the same dot except a little bit smaller. Next, exit the movieclip and go to layer 2. make a red line about an inch down from the dot we just made that should take up at least half the screen. On to layer 3. Make a really small yellow line. on the left side of it, place a black, long rectangle about the size of the line in layer 2, but make sure it's touching the yellow line you just made. Place it right on the right side of the long line in layer 2, so the yellow is lined up with the line, and you can't see the rest of it. Layer 4- this is going to be the laser part. make a red line connecting the ball we made in layer 1 to the right side of the line in layer 2, or the yellow small line. make each layer about 50 frames long. layer 1 and 2 aren't going to move at all, but give layers 3 and 4 a motion tween. In layer 3, select the last frame. next, press (Q) and hold shift as you drag the yellow line and the black rectangle next to it all the way to the left of layer 2. make layer 4, the laser, move so one tip is always on layer 1, but the other tip is always following the yellow line in layer 3. You can make it look way better, or change it around, because this is my first tutorial, and I know it's kinda hard to follow. Use the Example file as an example. that would make sense, huh?
