Part 5: Adding the Sound
You must have done a lot of work. Now let's add the sound! Ain't that exciting? The sound will liven up the shine, so that it will make you feel better. Trust me. Alrighty, where now? Oh, yeah, right.
Download the Zip file now, and extract all the FLAs and the sounds into a new, clean folder on
your hard drive. Put a copy of the FLA file you are working on into the folder. Ready? Get set,
urm... learn! Okay, go to File
Import. Choose "WAV Sound" from the
drop-down list on the bottom of the dialog and look for "shining.wav". Click OK.
Now, create a new layer. In order to organize information, you can name Layer 1 and 2 from the
last part "Logo" and "Shine", respectively, or whatever you like. Then name the new layer 3
"Sound". Note that when you insert the new Layer 3, you notice they automatically fill up the
twenty frames in the timeline, right? (They refers to Flash) Don't you think that's
great? I was thinking we would have to fill them up ourselves, but who can't love Flash more?
Now, click on frame 1, and open the Sound panel (Window
Panels
Sound).
In the Sound drop-down list, click "shining", and change the Sync to Stream. Close the Sound
panel and play the animation. You'll love it.
Enough of the fun. In Part 6, you'll get to see the sparkle. Yes, we'll tell you about the shine again, but this time, it will be much easier. That's because you already know how to shine the logo, so why teach again? Just repeat it, add the sparkle, add another piece of sound, and that's it! Boy! It's just like repeating all the same stuff!
