Adding an On / Off Button

This allows more effect and Interactivity for the user.  You can create a Button or add one from the Button Library.

First, Unlock 'Button Layer' and Lock any layers that are not Locked.

For this part of the Tutorial I will use 'Switch 1 Silver'

You can use any another button or create one yourself.

Put the Button on the Stage. Doesn't really matter where. Try in one of the corners.  Then change the Instance Properties and
Set the Alpha to 20%. This will add an effect of Darkness in the Movie.

Insert a KeyFrame on Frame 5.

Next, Select Frame 1.  Then Right click on the 'Button' on stage. Select 'Properties.

We'll need to add Actions to the Button. Click on Actions and add these actions:

  • On (Release)
  • Go to and Stop (5)
  • End On

Now Select Fame 5, and do the Same.

  • On (Release)
  • Go to and Stop (1)
  • End On

Note: that The First Action is for Go To and Stop on 5.

Thats about it. Enjoy. Any Questions let me know.
