Starting your Flash Light Effect
First things first. My Movie is Set at 600 by 300. at 18 fps. with a Background
Color 'Black'.
Grid Spacing is set to 18 px.
You'll need to create Three Layers:
- Button (Top Layer) - On / Off Button
- BackDrop (Middle Layer) - Acts like a Masked layer
- Light (Bottom Layer) - Light Source

For all the Layers 'Instert Frame' to Frame 5. (Do
not Instert ANY KEYFRAMES, we'll add those later)
Now Lock ALL Layers except 'BackDrop'.
Create a Box with NO OUTLINE. and have the fill in color Black.
| Now Select the Box. Align the Box to Center Top
and Middle and Match the Size. Make sure you selected 'Align to Page'. |
 |
With the Box Now fitting the Size of the Movie. You will need to Select the
'Paint Bucket'.
Select the Fill Color and Choose Black and Make it a Gradient. Make sure
its Radial. make Both sides the same Color.
Make there 'Alpha' 25%. Now Change the Fill of the Box
to the Color you created.

This makes the Box act like a Masked layer.
