Create a Laser Effect - Page 5

Create the Laser Clip

In the TEMP layer, click on the line so it is selected and break it apart

Insert a Keyframe into frame 2 of the TEMP layer
Select the arrow tool from the toolbox and drag out a rectangle over the part of the line that the "ball" has already travelled, approximatley 10 pixels.
Doesn't have to be completely accurate
Delete this part of the line

Insert a Keyframe into frame 3 of the TEMP layer and delete the next 10 pixels that the "ball" has passed.

Continue all the way until frame 31 where you need to insert a Blank Keyframe

Highlight all 31 frames in the TEMP layer and right click them so you can 'Copy Frames'
Now create a new symbol = MOVIE CLIP, call it "laser clip"
Right click the first frame in the timeline of this new symbol and 'Paste Frames'

Highlight all 31 frames and Right Click then 'Reverse Frames'
(-the first frame should now be the Blank Keyframe-)
