Chrome Balls
Everyone likes chrome. It is one of the harder effects to create realistic in Flash. This tutorial will teach you how to make chrome balls/buttons in Flash 5, but is able to be done in any version of Flash.
The key to chrome is reflections. As we all know, Flash does not have very powerful drawing tools compared to, say Photoshop, but reflections can be faked using gradients. If you look at chrome, you will usually see a light colored bright area towards the top of the object, and then a darker area, then a slightly lighter area again. Enough talking, more chroming (not the paint inhaling kind).
