| FK: And what was that answer for :FX? What is the experience for :Fx?
|
| NB: You tell me! If we did it right then you should be able to describe your
experience to me and it should exactly meet what we designed. I will tell
you this, we have received emails from users who have described exactly the
experience that we designed. What I mean is that they used words and
terminology and described their experience in such a way that if I showed
you our experience design document, you would read those same words and
terms in our document. In other words, they experienced what we planned out.
|
| FK: And this user experience, the design of this experience is different
from let's say a site design or a UI design.
|
| NB: Absolutely. The user experience design should be the first thing that
you spec out. All the rest hangs from it: the UI design, sound design,
production design, all your art direction, even your coding hangs from that
design. When we had experience design sessions, even our software engineers
participated. It was vital that they participate and understand this user
experience because they would be coding things that affected it.
