Introduction
The onslaught of new technologies recently is enough to make your head spin clean off and into the lap of an ex-potential client. Every package sporting new user interfaces, docking panel sets, easier navigation and an plethora of others. Even the ads read as if they were all photocopied from an original written by a design monk in Istanbul. It's no wonder that, as designers and/or programmers, we have a hard time finding programs that suit our needs. If you're freelancing, it's especially difficult as you can't afford to blow your money on something that turns out to be useless. You have only two real choices. Either A) Get a job with a firm that doesn't mind wasting money (not too likely) or, B) Find out what you need in order to enhance your availability to clients. B would seem the most appropriate, so we'll start there.
