I'm sure that at some point, given your chosen field of design, that you've come across sites like praystation.com or once-upon-a-forest.com and wondered how such elegance in Flash is achieved. Other than use of color schemes and pure creative force, you need to learn what's called ActionScripting. The programming language of Flash.
If you're like me, then learning a language other than html can be hard. Hard but not imppossible. And possible is the goal which the author, Sham Bhangal, is trying to get you to realize.
This book assumes that you have absolutely no knowledge of ActionScript. Only that you've at least made a Flash movie previously and have a fairly good understanding of the tools. The author doesn't wish to rehash the same old thing. Covering tools, swatches, masks, etc. Sham wants to see you develope into a motion graphics designer with skill.
