Import / Export

Amorphium Pro imports and exports a variety of formats, including EPS, 3DS (3D Studio Max), FACT (Electric Image), LWO (Lightwave 1 & 2), OBJ (Maya), as well as DXF. It also supports parenting and hierarchies. In addition to swf, Amorphium Pro renders to raster in QuickTime formats (virtually any variation or codec, including Sorensen) as well as Animated GIF with or without transparency, TIFF, TARGA, PNG, JPG, and PICT. The program will render to any resolution that you type in, including film.

SWF output

Amorphium Pro offers several options to render to swf including:

• Wireframe outlines, object outlines or zero outlines
• Adjustable line thickness
• Cartoon, average or gradient shading, or zero polygon fill
• Various quality levels and "pixel oversampling" which means the higher the number of oversampling, the smoother the curves are:
  • Line color
  • Background color
  • Ambient color
  • Specular highlights
  • Shadows!

High-quality cartoon shading and shadow features really set this program apart from all other swf renderers. Amorphium Pro converts a phong rendering to vector, which maintains all of the self-shadowing from one object casting onto another or ground plane. This adds the element of true 3D depth and Amorphium Pro is currently is the only program on the market that will create proper shadows automatically. There are a variety of examples provided on the www.amorphium.com site that were created to show these various options.
