Step 5: The Menubar
Skip down to the bottom layer and create a menubar. You can make it any shape you would like, I have used a rectangle in the example.
Once you have created it, convert it to a symbol by selecting it, and choosing Insert>Convert to symbol. In the symbol properties dialog box, name it "menubar" and select graphic as the propety. You can see in the first picture that I have placed instances of the symbol on frames 3, 13, 16, and 26. On frame 3 and 26, the menu bar will be in. So align the right edge of the "menubar" symbol with the right edge of the "menubutton" symbol. On frame 13 and 16, the "menubar" will be out. So align the left edge of the "menubar" symbol with the left edge of the "menubutton" symbol. If you have any trouble with this, refer to the .fla provided. Once you have all the frames set up, create motion tweens between frames 3 and 13, and frames 16 and 26.
