Step 2: The Actions Layer

On frame 1, in the actions layer, insert a blank keyframe. You can either do this by right-clicking the frame and choosing "blank keyframe" from the pop-up menu, or by hitting F7. Double-click the frame, and on the actions tab, insert the following by clicking the "+" icon, choosing the correct function, and the filling in the blanks:
