Scrolling A Movie

Making The Movie Clips
we have to make a couple of movie clips to start off making the movie. here they are in a list:
- content:
this movie clip is the content you will be scrolling
align the crosshair to be at the top
- mask:
make this a graphic it is just a square that will show the part of the content you want
align the crosshair wherever you want
- bound_box:
this is the movie clip that youll use in your script to detect the top and bottom y location - make it a square the size of your mask
put the crosshair wherever you want
- scroller:
this is what you'll use to scroll the content clip
put the crosshair in the dead center
Once thats all done make a new movie clip named "container" this is where the scrolling movie will be kept.
first place the content clip in the container so that its top left corner touches the crosshair.
In the instance panel name it "content". In a new layer put your mask graphic over the content.
Make the layer with the mask graphic into a mask layer. Make a new layer and in it place your bounds_box clip.
It should be over your mask movie clip. name the bound_box movie "bound_box" in the instance properties box.
now just put your scroller in the top to the right of your content. Name the scroller "scroller". Now go to your main timeline and put your "container" clip in it.
ok setting up the thing is done now lets start up with the actionscripting - HECK YA!
