Step One: Set Up

Firstly we shall prepare the stage. You can add your own graphics. I have used a circular dial type design. Next we will create the needle. Choose "New Symbol" and then choose MovieClip behaviour. Again you can use your own design for it. Make sure the needles registration point is at the pivot point. Place the needle MC on the stage, pointing to a 12 o'clock positon. The needle will move through 360° as the movie loads and finish back at the 12 o'clock position when 100% loaded.
