Pt4 - ... continued

  1. Now we will make the drop sound play by using the 'Tell Target' action. As you remember, back in Part 2, step 5 of this project, we added a frame labeled 'in' to the fifth frame of each of the placed blocks with a sound in it. We are going to use the 'Tell Target' command to tell the placed block to play that sound frame now:

    Begin Tell Target ("/circle_in")
    Go to and Play ("in")
    End Tell Target

  2. When you have finished the code for the Circle button should look like this:

    On (Press)
    Start Drag ("/circle_out", lockcenter)
    End On
    On (Release)
    Stop Drag
    If (GetProperty ( "/circle_out", _droptarget ) eq "/circle_in")
    Property ("/circle_in", Alpha) = 100 Set Property ("/circle_out", Visibility) = False
    Begin Tell Target ("/circle_in")
    Go to and Play ("in")
    End Tell Target
    End If
    End On

  3. You may want to test the movie to make sure that you can drag the circle and drop it in the right slot on the box. Test to make sure that the sound is working right and the dragged block turns invisible.

  4. Repeat steps 2 through 10 for each of the dragged blocks, triangle_out, square_out, star_out, pentagon_out and hexagon_out. Make sure to rename the variables correctly for each of the six blocks.

» Description: Hmm... what to say about this one? It's reminiscent of the closing notes of the opening music from the Three Stooges done in a church organ style with a closing cymbal crash. I'll give this one away gratis, but feel free to check out my free loops and potential upcoming license-mandated ones over in the respective part of Flashkit.
