Insert Symbol in Movie
After editing your new cursor, go back to the scene/movie editing window (menu Edit > Edit Movie, or simply CTRL+E) and open your library window (CTRL+L). It will show all the objects available on your movie - right now, only the "new cursor" movie clip that you have just created. To insert this symbol on your movie, simply click on the symbol and drag it to the movie window. This will place the symbol on the current frame of your movie (see image).
Do not worry about where it will be placed - any part of the movie is fine, since it will immediatelly start following the "hidden" cursor position as soon as the movie starts.
