Creating the code (Cont.)

Next, we need to test to see if the cursor is close enough to the icons to move them. The y value of the cursor has to be within 50 pixels and the x value must be inside of 50 pixels of either side of the menu. The first icon is at x value 200 and the last one is at x value 650. If the cursor is within these limits, then check all the offsets to make sure they are within acceptable limits. Remember the functions we set up earlier? Here is where we use the first one. The offset in question is passed to the checkOffset( ) function, which makes sure the offset is within 175 pixels of the icon's base point, setting it to its maximum if necessary.

For those of you who are creating a menu that zooms from the bottom up, the y values should be y>=50 and y<=100

 // If cursor is inside menu
 if (y>=0 and y<=50 and x>=150 and x<=700) {
 // Make sure the offsets are within acceptable limits
 HomeOffset = checkOffset(HomeOffset);
 NewsEventsOffset = checkOffset(NewsEventsOffset);
 ScheduleOffset = checkOffset(ScheduleOffset);
 ManualOffset = checkOffset(ManualOffset);
 DirectionsOffset = checkOffset(DirectionsOffset);
 LessonOffset = checkOffset(LessonOffset);
 ContactUsOffset = checkOffset(ContactUsOffset);
 MP3CollectionOffset = checkOffset(MP3CollectionOffset);
 BookmarkOffset = checkOffset(BookmarkOffset);
 LinksOffset = checkOffset(LinksOffset);

Don't close the IF statement, we aren't done with it yet!!!
