The SWF File
Flash has become the new frontier in web design. Everyday people are coming up with new designs in flash, many breaking with the traditional concept of a web page. But there remains some guidelines that can put you in the right direction.
One of the most important is Keep it Clean, Clear and Comprehensible. This in itself can be viewed as an oxymoron but the principle still stands. A Flash designer has to create a movie that is foolproof with a few added extras, to cater for the inevitable evolution of the superfool. One technique that can be employed is placing floating labels on objects the user would interact with. These appear over an object when the mouse is held over it for a few seconds. To see what I mean check out the example below.
