Getting Started

First of all... create new movie. Setup 2 scenes (Window > Scene or Shift + F2). First scene named as preloader and the second as scene1 or movie. Actually you can put all (preloader and movie) in one scene together. It's OK, but it would be advisable to seperate it especially when you create a big movie using many layers, frames and objects.

Creating Preloader

Create 2 layers, named it as text layer and action layer. In text layer, write the text 'Patience is Virtue' and convert it (Insert>Convert to Symbol or F8 ) into movie clip. Give some simple animation, We used tweening by setting the text's apha. You can use any phrase and any simple animation you like, it's not a fix price!

Still work in the same layer... create a dynamic text, convert it (Insert>Convert to Symbol or F8 ) to movie clip and name the instance as text.

Your preloader scene at this step will look like this:
