Create A Communicative Preloader

Author: Purnawijaya Citra and Mimi Widjaja

Introduction

"What we have to do to make you stay...?"
That question arises when we come at the loading process of a big movie. Well...that's part of preloader's job.

In this tutorial we are not about to explain what preloader is and for what purposes it's created. We believe that's already in your mind.

Usually preloader shows the increasing number of bytes (percentage) loaded with some simple animation as part of entertainment. Some other way, it's presented in the figure of increasing bar.

What we want to convey this time is how to create another kind of preloader with 'human approach', regardless any numbers and chart figure. We'd like to make loading time useful by 'talking' or create a prologue with the visitors before they enter the site. That's why we called it as "Greeting - A communicative Preloader".

Any message you like can be put inside your communicative preloader. You can convey the topic, theme, vision, etc of your website - message by message to drive the visitors to your main site/ movie.

OK, nothing left for the introduction. Let's see our sample of communicative preloader.
