Building Buttons

Create a button

1. Choose Insert> New Symbol
2. Select "Button"

2. Draw Object in "Up" state

1. Import, Draw or use another symbol

3. Place Keyframe in "Over" frame

1. Insert> Keyframe
2. Modify image for "Over" state

4. Repeat Step 3 for "Down" and "Hit" states

5. Add Sound to "Down" state

1. Select the Down frame in the Timeline
2. Choose Modify> Frame
3. Select the Sound tab

6. Add your new button to your movie

1. Choose Edit> Edit Movie
2. Drag your button symbol out of the Library to create an instance of it in the movie.
