Introduction

Layers are simply transparent sheets that are placed on top of each other. These layers can be shuffled and moved around, added and deleted. Layers organise your movie and allow you to affect an object without affecting the rest of your movie.

Special layers can be created which allow you to draw and edit with greater ease and create some really funky effects. However, this will be dealt with in later tutorials.
