In the past, printing from the web was bad karma but now thanks to Macromedia's new Flash printing feature, problems associated with printing off the web may be a thing of the past.
It has been said that browser plug-ins print poorly. In Flash, you tended to only get a poor representation of the first frame at best. Not any more. The latest Flash Player for PC and Mac boasts a bag of high quality printing delights which don't require a reinstallation of flash 4. Simply download a copy of SDK and the latest version of Flash Player.
In this tutorial series we will be looking at the following aspects
- Printing in Flash Player
- Designating Frames to be Printable
- Disabling the Print Command
- Removing the Context Menu
- Creating Custom buttons to execute the Print Command
What can this do for me?
The Print command in the Flash Player opens up an immense number of possibilities. However before you dive head first into Printing from movies, have a read of the tutorials I mentioned before, download SDK for more examples and tips for preparing movies and updating old ones.
