9) Our next task is to create our movie_Clip. Press “Ctrl + L” and you library panel will open. In the library panel you will notice in all versions of Flash a button on the bottom ledge—it is a plus sign “+ “ in a white box. This button is your “Create Symbol” through the library panel. Click the “Create Symbol Button”
NOTE: This is the best way to create new symbols in flash because they are created in the library. Once they are created you can drag them into any layer where are needed. Additionally your main stage content is not cluttering up your work space.
