Form

This is the physical work that is on the page, it is what you see. It is the bringing of all the elements of art (line, shape, value, texture and color). Many people see this part of the art or design as the whole work but this is not the case. Form is the parts on the plane that will bring, harmony, variety, balance etc. We will be discussing form in depth next time.

Content

This is mood, emotion, statement, expression that the observer comes away with from the work, Hopefully the same intention the artist had in mind.

As a computer artist your picture plane may be 2D or 3D. You will have to learn to manage these areas and make the best use of them to convey your message. These three areas make up art no matter what the medium or technique. With out this base you cannot understand how to build a project with mastery.
