Once you have modified, or left alone your stage dimensions, go to Insert>New Symbol. This will bring up a box. Mark your new symbol as a button, and name it button. By clicking ok, flash brings up a new window for your new button. Note that this is not the original timeline. On the first frame of your new timeline (it should have the words UP OVER DOWN HIT, in sequencial order), create a box using the rectangle tool on your toolbar. Make sure that the fill on the box is white In the box, Use the brush tool to write the word "PLAY" in black. This first frame, the frame labeled UP, is what the person viewing your flash will see when nothing is over it. Click on the fourth frame of the button timeline, labeled HIT. The hit frame is to tell the flash program what is clickable on your button. '
