The End Result
Below is the end result of all these printing tutorials. You'll probably want to be aiming at being able to create something like this. Have a look at the banner ad and see the power that macromedia has given us to deliver information to our visitors. (When you deconstruct it to see how a banner ad can print an A4 page, think of it as two .swf files. One for the banner ad and one for the A4 sheet.
Note: This now works in Netscape 4.7. There is a bug in the Printing SDK from Macromedia who are in the process of fixing it. The SDK works on IE5 but not in Netscape. Mike Weiland from certifcatecreator.com has recently solved it and posted an update. The problem, he said, was a bug in the plug-in that ignores the _framesloaded command and proceeds to print the file without it being fully loaded. If you play the file locally or from a server from inside your firewall it will print, but from a remote server you will get the error.
