Modify Text Attributes
To add text with modifications to its attributes simply Choose the Text Tool on the tool bar, modify the attributes below the tool bar, then click on the stage where you want the text to start. Modifying the font, its size, colour and style of existing text is exactly the same as a word processor. The alignment is also the same. However the next two need further explanation.
The icon next to the alignment icon below the tool bar is the Paragraph Properties. Once you click on it a dialog box will appear which will allow you to modify the left and right margins, the indentation and the spaces between the lines.
The icon at the bottom is the Text Field icon. I won't go into it here because it is dealt with in the tutorial on Adding Text Fields. Needless to say, if you select this icon, the rectangle you drag on the stage or create when you click on the stage will be a text field. These are used to interact with your visitor, allowing them to extract or add text from your movie.
So there you go adding text is just toooo easy!!!
The next step is learning how to perform a transformation on your text like rotation, flip and skew which can be found in our tutorial on Text Transformations. If you're also having issues with different fonts on different systems or designing movies with fonts for multiple platforms check out our tutorial on Device Fonts.
In the meantime happy flashing!
