The Sprite Movie Clip

Follow this steps and you'll be fine.

  1. Start by drawing a square on your stage and make it small, maybe 30 x 30.
  2. Select the square and make it a movie clip by pressing F8 on your keyboard.
  3. For the name enter "sprite" (the name doesn't really matter)
  4. Enter "sprite" for its instance name as well (this does matter because we use this name in the code to refer to the movie clip).
Next we will enter the code and we are done.
