How to make a certain score take you to another frame/scene! Author:MO(D)VDO
Page 1
1
Make two layers.
Name layer one "Actions" and layer two "Body", with or without the quotations.
They're order (which one is on the top and which one on buttom) doesn't metter.
In layer "Body":
Step 1:
Make a button. You can also extract one from the button library.
Step 2:
Make a DINAMIC text box.
Give it a VARIABLE of "score", without the quotation and the coma.
DON'T WRITE ANYTHING IN THE TEXT BOX.
If you want the user to see "Score = ###", make a seperate
STATIC text that reads "Score = " or anything else you'd like.
Step 3:
Give the button the following coding:
on (release) {
_root.score = _root.score+10;
}
on (release) {
if (_root.score==100) {
gotoAndStop(2);
}
}
A small explanation:
_root.score+10; - Change the number to the score you want the text box
to add to the score.
if (_root.score==100) ( - Change the number to the score that when reaching it the user will go to another frame/scene.
gotoAndStop(2); - Change this to any frame you want, to any scene you want, and you can also make it "Play" instead of "Stop"
Step 4:
Create a new KEYFRAME by pressing on F7 on the keyboard.
Put in there anything you'd like. Text, pictures, animations, buttons, movies, Anything Flash can handle.
Now we're done with the first layer. let's move on to layer "Actions".
This layer is VERY simple.
Step 1:
In the first frame, draw nothing.
Give the first frame the following actions:
stop();
As simple as that.
Step 2:
Make a FRAME by pressing the F5 button on the keyboard.
Step 3:
We're all done. Now test your new movie by pressing Ctrl+Enter on the keyboard,
Or by pressing Ctrl+F12 on the keyboard to show it in your Internet Program.
