Final details
Be sure to upload the flash game swf and highscores.php into the same directory on your server.
You can check whether your php script is working without having to play the flash movie. Type the URL of the php script into your browser and create the command variable in the URL, ie. www.yourdomain.com/highscores.php?command=init
Or take it a step further:
www.yourdomain.com/highscores.php?command=update&name=Nick&score=45
The second example should add a row to your database with player Nick and score 45.
I have spent a lot of time and energy was creating these scripts for my games and Flash Arcadia. If you do make use of the information in this tutorial kindly link to my site: http://www.flasharcadia.com. You can email me at nick@edition.co.uk.
