Alright here we go. First, make a new flash document. On the first frame enter the following script:
stop();
Then make a Movie clip whith the Instance Name "Character". Then on it, enter the following script:
onClipEvent (enterFrame) {
if (Key.isDown(Key.LEFT)) {
_x = _x-10;
}
if (Key.isDown(Key.UP)) {
_y = _y-10;
}
if (Key.isDown(Key.RIGHT)) {
_x = _x+10;
}
if (Key.isDown(Key.DOWN)) {
_y = _y+10;
}
}
onClipEvent (enterFrame) {
if (this.hitTest(_root.wall)) {
this._parent.Enter.gotoAndPlay("1");
}
}
onClipEvent (enterFrame) {
if (this.hitTest(_root.wall2)) {
this._parent.Enter.gotoAndPlay("2");
}
}
Now make a movie clip, this will be the iteem. Instance name it "t". Now make a small box around the item with no fill color. Turn it into a movie clip. Instace name it "wall". Make another box around "wall" without any fill color. MC it. And give it the instance name it "wall2". Now make a movie clip that looks like a button so the user can pick the item up. Give it the instance name, "Enter". Double click it so you can edit it. Make a second frame in it's timeline, and give the stop action to both of the frames. On the second frame, you still have the picture of the button. Turn it into a Button and give it the following action script:
on(release){
vis();
_root.t._visible=false;
}
