Final Points There are two more points to remember when using this graph to read data online. One is that when loading variables online, you must have the full URL pointing to your data.txt file (eg. http://www.zarinmedia.com/dgraph/data.txt ). The second being, there is a slight delay between the time the data is served, and flash catches it when youre online. So in this example I have made the swf loop back and constantly check itself to make sure the values are being displayed. (Another approach to this might be to designate a done variable such as "eof" (end of file) as a flag saying that the data is loaded in.. and then loop, refresh, and check until that done variable = 'true' after which you can have flash go on to the next task at hand) Well that's it! I hope this has given you some ideas! I look forward to seeing some more dynamic graphs out there. Good luck and happy flashing.
