Our musical soundtrack is a loop that will repeat undefinely, it is very important to know its speed, expressed in BPM (beats for minute). If you don't know it you can extract it with software like ACID or something similar. It's also very important to know how to set the movie speed in Flash 4 : To do that you have to change the value of the FPS (frames for second).

To synchronize an animation with music you need a common unit of measure for the music speed and movie speed. Our unit is expressed in frames and to find it we have to compute:

Unit of Measure(in frames) = (60/bpm)*fps

Our unit of measure will result from this operation: divide 60 by the number of BPM of our loop and then multiply the result for the FPS value.
