Let me make some points:

-Lip Syncing is Hard. It is one of the most time consuming things to do.
-With Lip Syncing, your movie will look much more professional.
-Like most people I use the "6 mouth" Idea.

First, create a new MovieClip, and draw a mouth in frame 1.

Now add 5 blank keyframes to the MovieClip.

Now draw these 5 mouths, one in each keyframe. Draw the mouths about the same size.

You should now have a mouth in each keyframe.

Go to the scene. (You are no longer in your MovieClip) Your mouth should be closed.

Click on your MovieClip, in the properties bar change "Movie Clip" into "Graphic", and then change "Loop" to "Single Frame". Now, by changing the frame number of the MovieClip, you change what mouth to be shown.

Now add sound to a different layer. Stream the sound. Press F5 until the sound file ends. (i.e. make the frames the length of the sound file. Sound is represented by the blue-ish audio waves.) Make the layer of your mouths the length of the sound. All of the frames on the mouth layer should be keyframes.

Now comes the hard part. In each keyframe, change the mouth to the appropriate lip alignment. This can be very tricky. Talk into a mirror or mouth the sound as you go to understand which mouth to use. Remember it won't be perfect, but the lips move so fast that if you miss a frame it won't be that noticeable. Changing how tall or narrow the mouths are also can looks like different sounds.

» Description: Hmm... what to say about this one? It's reminiscent of the closing notes of the opening music from the Three Stooges done in a church organ style with a closing cymbal crash. I'll give this one away gratis, but feel free to check out my free loops and potential upcoming license-mandated ones over in the respective part of Flashkit.
