Christmas is nearly coming. For some people, it's time to send e-card to friends, relatives and colleagues. In this holiday season mood, I write one simple flash tutorial for creating e-card.

The first idea across in my mind is a figure of falling snow. I know some part of this world have no snow during the Christmas or even in the whole year. Anyway, it's only a matter of idea and creativity. You can bring your own taste and create it with flash.

My tutorial explanation is based on flash MX. I'm sure it also work for flash 5. Ok, let's start. We don't have much time... Christmas in almost at the doorstep.

Getting Started

This movie contains 3 main parts i.e.: background picture, snow, and greeting text. For background image, you can choose any kind of your favorite picture. Since I use snow figure, so I choose picture associated with winter and snowing theme. Set the image size fit with your movie size. Movie size and framerate is not a matter.

» Description: Hmm... what to say about this one? It's reminiscent of the closing notes of the opening music from the Three Stooges done in a church organ style with a closing cymbal crash. I'll give this one away gratis, but feel free to check out my free loops and potential upcoming license-mandated ones over in the respective part of Flashkit.
