Adding other chart information

You can also set Chart title, X and Y axis titles and sort order from the data file. The example below shows how the Chart title can be set.

Make sure that your XML file includes an attribute for the chart title in the chart node. The chart node would look like:


The LoadChartData function should include the lines:

//get Chart Title
var ChartTitle;
if (BaseNode.attributes["ThisTitle"].length> 0) {
ChartTitle = BaseNode.attributes["ThisTitle"];
}
else {
ChartTitle = "Default Title";
}
This code tests to see if we have a chart title and assigns it to the ChartTitle variable. If no title exists, the words "Default Title" will appear.

Apply the title to the chart with:

MyChart.setChartTitle(ChartTitle);

You can use the same approach for X and Y axis titles and for sorting the data.
