Creating the Effect OK, open a new movie or the movie you want to add the text to. Draw a text box somewhere on the page and enter the desired words. Format the text box in the style you require. Now, copy the text box you just made by selecting it, right click, copy. On the movie background, right click, paste. You should now have two exactly similar text boxes. Double click to edit one of them - it doesn't matter which. Select all the words and change to colour to the gray to the right of the black. The words should now be in that dark gray colour. Move the other one (which isn't gray) to where you want it. Change it's colour too - Choose a light colour. Now select the gray coloured text box. Select Modify> Arrange> Send to Back. Make sure that it is still selected and move it so that it is directly under the coloured text box. Don't deselect your text, but if you do, press Ctrl-Z and it will be reselected. Use the Arrow Keys to move the gray textbox down and right by only a few points. Watch as your shadowed text appears! You can now play around and move the shadow until it looks best for your font. The shadow colour can also be changed. You can add more gray coloured text boxes behind the original to create a larger shadow. You can easily change the shadow direction be moving where the gray text box is. Need extra help? - conware@email.com
