About polar coordinates.
Polar coordinates differ from Cartesian coordinates. In Cartesian coordinates to determinate a point (on plane) You have to set two values: first is X coordinate and another one is Y coordinate. So in this kind of coordinates we have to axes - axis of abscissae -X and axes of ordinate -Y (see illustration)
When We use polar coordinates, point definition differ. Here we should determinate distance (p) and degree (angel) (f).(see illustration)
