IntroductionWhy you might want to use this:When creating large flash movies with tons of MC's or even imported .swf's, things can start to get confusing to the user. Anymore, most flash pieces are loaded into popup windows as well. The users get confused when they have no back button to navigate to the "page" they were just on. This tutorial aims at allowing you to concentrate less on a global menu for the user to use and more on allowing the user to have the same functionality in your flash piece as they do in the Web browser. Although this tutorial concentrates on only the back button, this could be done with a forward button as well. As mentioned above, this will work within one flash file or over many if you are loading external MC's. We will cover the use of external MC's first.
