Finding Out The Mouse Position Without The "Hand Symbol"
The "handless button" is a small movie clip with an invisible button and a stop action on the first frame. The button gets the following action:
On (Roll Over)
Go to and Stop (2)
End On
The invisible button is just on the first frame. If the movie clip is on frame two, there is no button, and without the button, there is no hand, but you do know the position of the mouse. These handless buttons cover the stage to enable you to determine the mouse position. What I find unfortunate is, that you have to tell every "handless button" (in my yugop clone are 35 buttons!!) by tell target, that they have to go back to frame one, so they can check the mouse position at the next roll over. That's the reason for the 5kb graphic and 120kb tell target syntax in my menu. Here is a small example of this kind of handless buttons
